Pilates
Originally developed by Joseph H. Pilates, Pilates is a sequence of exercises which promotes endurance, strength, and flexibility while maintaining proper body alignment. Focusing on “Core” development while moving through an individualized routine provides increasing challenges to the body for maximum benefit.

Pilates is offered in conjunction with Green Tiger Pilates. Eric Schimel, senior instructor, has a unique teaching method incorporating his background in Fitness, Martial Arts, and Pilates in order to create a flowing, motivated, yet enjoyable session for all his clients. Specializing in the “Reformer” and “Advanced Reformer”, as well as being fully versed in all forms of the “Method”, Eric is a consistent practitioner and teacher who constantly strives to assist his clients in achieving their goals.

Yoga

Stemming from the Hindu tradition of India, Yoga is a system of Physical and Mental controls whose main goal is to promote tranquility and awareness within the practitioner. Using the breath, meditation, and physical postures called asanas, Yoga is a holistic practice which has many benefits both physically and mentally. Yoga can help to reduce stress, improve endurance and strength, and promote vitality.

Here at Sacred Elements, a combination of Breath work and flowing Yogic asanas emphasizing body alignment and sensitivity is coupled with individual attention to provide for a unique experience.
